The other XP machine (free roving laptop) has no problem using the shared printer. But it can't see the new desktop at all. It really shouldn't be this hard. To share the printer on the Windows 7 machine go into Devices and Printers from the Start menu and double click on the printer icon. However, we recently had to upgrade that machine to a new one with Win7 installed.

My XP machines can see the Windows 7 machines but not access any of the shared folders or the print on the Windows 7 machines.
