Sheesh this is flakey code. It did not fix the problem, which is that Winsows 10 can't see the Windows 8 computer. Suddenly, today, from my MAIN pc, I can no longer see my other networked PCs in File Manager. The next time I got it back by making my home network first in the list. Ok I did the winsock reset and restart for all PCs. I tried the tutorial and I am able to see the other computers on my network but one offending computer will not show itself to itself, nor can I see it
Thanks. the Windows 10 computer name icon, I see only a blank page. Ten computers can see each other and four can see each other but the two groups cannot see each other. After reading pages and pages of basically the same issue, dating back to early last year, you would think MS could recognize that they blew this one.
