Quite a few people are posting similar problems throughout the Networking forum. I have the same problem with Windows 7. I graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, GA in 2002 with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. Hopefully you'll have a simple solution, something I am obviously overlooking.

Same exact situation as you, and yes, you are right. So everything is back to functioning properly. I can even map workgroup shares as network drives that way.Inevitably the other workgroup computers still can't see the windows 7 shared folders.
