Reconnect the printer to the computer and choose “Ask me later” every time the “Found New Hardware” wizard pops up (it usually pops up twice).  Reinstall the latest Vista printer driver. I don't understand how it found my laser jet on another computer in a different work group and installed it. You could also get around the error by adding the printer by creating a new local printer port using IP address of the printer.
