well it didn't on mine!Had a heck of a problem getting the drivers off again and reinstalling the XP drivers which were supplied on a disk with the machine... At this point, we are still working with HP to determine if cleanup needs to be done of remnant files on our print servers. I could install the printer, but then it always returned "Windows cannot connect to the printer. 0x000006c0". Hope this helps someone else so they don't spend the hours I did on it! While it worked to fix the issue for some people, it is still a problem for others.
