Windows 7 Cannot Detect Ipod Touch


I keep getting this message every time I try to connect: "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. Normally I can crack stuff like this and figure it out but this one has got me! I didn't even think about rebooting the ipod when I ran into this problem.
