Running the various DFSR diagnostics doesn't seem to reveal much but I have to admit, I'm somewhat out of my element here. This seems to happen on more than one Windows 8 client, but not on Windows 7. Offline files are disabled by GPO on desktops, and the original post was related to a desktop. In DFS Management, expand "Namespaces" and click on the "Namespace Servers" tab.
A shared domain namespace with replicated folders to ensure they stay online if a server is offline for planned or unplanned good times. A user reported that they could not access their desktop, and our 1st level couldn't figure it out. I remoted the user, and tried the DFS path, got a permission error, Even if they are connected via VPN if the latency is too high the laptop won't switch back to "online" mode. Enable Dfs Client Windows 7 It's almost as if it's caching the unavailable shares and I have no way of clearing that "cache" that I know of (someone feel free to correct me on that). Creating your account only takes a few minutes.

Does a list of the non-letter ASCII symbol macros exist? When offline files are disabled, the system accesses the namespace location directly without issue. Our users doesn't use offline file. There is ONE share that's got offline files enabled (And of course that can still be accessed - offline) however it's just one share, would that take out all other distinct I have run the DFSDiag tests linked, and they all come back fine. How to reply?
