This was the cause of a few unsuccessful attempts of getting it to work!!! I can see the printers from the windows clients, I can select it, I install the drivers locally from the windows pc. What gets even weirder is that I cn print to the PDF printer via Samba and a postscript driver! Then it came back saying Connection failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED I am able to share the brother printer on p5q using a uri of ipp://192.168.1.6:631/printers/MFC7860DW But the computers running ubuntu 12.04 or variant No idea why, but glad it finally works! Windows 7 should now locate the printer and take you through the dialogues for installing the relevant driver.
