Windows does not crash unless a problem or really old windows older than XP.Did you delete any system files by any chance?or do you have viruses? Has Windows 8 won you over or do you still find it a frustrating user experience? I lost the WiFi so often,about once every 10 minutes at its worst, I just gave up and went back to Windows 7. Do I have to uninstall the MS driver to make this change? If you want a dark taskbar it automatically changes the titlebar dark as well, which is foolish to begin with.
