so this is the only way that my problem was solved. This is not a cause or symptom but it leads me to believe updating the network copy of the file at logoff is normal/required behavior. very odd 0 Pimiento OP Kalle5554 Mar 29, 2012 at 6:07 UTC Hmm odd.   Solved a similar issue with(not with ntuser.dat, but other files that did not It was "greyed out." This made me actually copy the user profiles to the server without the "Copy To" feature. Create a wiki article about it!
