I am sure that there is nothing wrong with the CD drive, because I also use RIS (Remote Installation Service) which allow me to perform install through the network. Reinstalling Windows will erase everything from your hard drive, allowing you to start again with a fresh system. I'll presume that it is a problem with the CD. Only trying it will tell you for sure though.

If all of the above steps were unsuccessful, and Memtest86 finds memory corruption, it highly likely that your p3.sys blue screen error is due to bad memory. p3.sys STOP error due to memory (RAM) corruption. Unfortunatley XP does not let you do this, and there are no similar instructions...
