Try to Enter Windows in Safe Mode and then then delete the folder.

I have checked the possible solution all sites by only getting below same TBS. •go to services and stop Windows update service •locate C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution folder and delete all its content •start Windows Can't Check For Updates Vista After installation restart your computer and check for updates.
